Hi, I am looking for information on Joseph Moore he was born abt 1835 in Stourbridge, Worcestershire I know that he was married to an Elizabeth (what was her maiden name?) and that they had about 10 children. I am having the hardest time though finding out who his parents were. I would buy the marriage certificate, but I cant even find out which volume its in or page its on. Any ideas? Thanks a lot
When do you first have him on census?, where was he, who was he with?

All census look up transcriptions are Crown Copyright ====================================== Brown 1800-> Woolwich (Kent) Barnett 1800-> Woolwich (Kent) Pannifer 1830-> Deptford (Kent) Brierley in Staffordshire(Pre-1875) Walters in Middlesex(Pre-1875) Clift,Gould in Devon/Cornwall
So, I'd look for a marriage in about 1860/1861 Worcester. How many possibles turn up?

Possible of course, but it seems a little unlikely, given that Elizabeth would have been 13y at the time.
and the eldest 1871 kids, being named after their parents imply to (to me) to have been the first-born from the marriage.
How about buying the birth cert of one of the kids?

yes, thats an idea. I ll have a look if I can find one. I tried to find the birth certificate details (volume/page etc) of his son Alfred (my great-grandfather) but couldnt find them. I ll have a look if I have more luck with one of the other children.
