Hi - is there any way I can trace further details of my gt. grandmother and her family.  She was born in Kildare about 1847.  Can anyone please advise me?

Hi,

For a birth prior to 1864, you need to know the parish or townland and religion to consult the parish records. If you know a family member who would have been head of household at the time, you can try searching for them in  the Griffiths Valuation.

Hello Pauline,

This site may show your great grandmother's family. Griffith's Valuation in Kildare was done in 1851, four years after her birth. http://www.failteromhat.com
