THOMAS HART and / or HELEN BAIRD

My 3 x great grandmother was a Helen Baird. She married Thomas Hart at East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, SCT, on 8 June 1823. A son Thomas was born at East Kilbride on 12 August 1824. This Thomas has next been found as a Saddler in Balfron, Stirling, when he married Jane Graham in 1848. On his death registration, it is stated his father was a Cattle Feeder in East Kilbride. This is all the info we have on this Thomas Hart and Helen Baird and would love to hear from anyone who may have a link.
I have estimated Helen's birth year as abt 1800 from the marriage date of 1823. Likewise Thomas would possibly have been born 1790's.
An almost complete tree of descendants for son Thomas Hart is available, but these 2 appear to be the impenetrable brick wall as far as this family is concerned.
I would be really delighted to hear from anyone who may have a link, no matter how slight. Please contact me.

the 1851 Lanarkshire index has a Thomas Hart age 70 living in Avondale (just south of east Kilbride Parish)... he appears to be with a family called Ternsy and another called Kelly ... This Thomas Hart is said to have been born in Ireland

Thanks you very much for this reply. There has always been a family rumour that Thomas came from Ireland, so this is a possibility.
Is there an indication of occupation or marital status please? Any snippet of info will help. I really appreciate your help and I will follow it up.

Sorry there is no further information as this is only an index...

There is a second thomas Hart age 26 born in Kinross in Stirling listed in the index ... but he also appears to be living with another family

Thankyou very much for the Census data. Today I checked the relevant 1851 film and have a feeling this could be the Thomas I've been looking for. I have now ordered the 1841 film in the hope of confirming this.
