Looking for information on John Lowe, (Parents, brothers or sisters) Born 1859 in Salop, England.
Married Sarah Sloan in Wollongong Australia in 1890.

does he give his fathers name or occupation or any other details on his marriage certificate. 1881 census lists 3 John Lowe of approx the right age one is already married and the other 2 are boarder/logers so no family. have looked in 1871 and there are a number of possibilities but could do with knowing fathers name.

Donna...out of curiosity u could try parents William and Hannah. There is a John Lowe died Woolongong 1943 parents William and Hannah. No other John Lowe appears died Woolongong 1890-1945. No age but worth a try to c if anything comes up in your index under the right area.

Thank you very much for the information on John Lowe.
Yes this would appear to be the right person.
Apart from being a relative through marrying Sarah Sloan, a William Sloan also built a ship "William 1V at Clarencetown near Newcastle N.S.W that Sarah's father Peter worked on and I am trying to see if there is a direct connection between the builder and John Lowe.
