Seeking information on Agnes Gaunt , nee Duncan ( 1846-1916); daughter of John Duncan and Agnes McLauchlan. One son for sure- A.E. Gaunt. I can't find a marriage cert, or any mention of husband's information. Husband was Robert Gaunt. Thank you. Donna

Have a look for Agnes in the 1901 and 1891 censuses at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk, - - there's only one match of an appropriate age.
Those entries swiftly lead to the following 1881 census entry.....

Lindley cum Quarmby is in the parish of Huddersfield ......
By tradition, the death register entry informant would have been the eldest son, Edward, which matches the info in the various census entries.

Hello: Thank you for the information. I guess I got stuck on looking for husband Robert. The Gaunt connection is a new one and I am easily frustrated. I have spent so much money on scotlandspeople; I think I am the sole support of he website!!! Now that I have this I will look at the other census. Again- thank you. Donna
