Thought I better add this link as its very useful:

http://www.moretonhampstead.org.uk/frames.htm

then go to "Virtual Archive" for:
Moretonhampstead Census records 1841-1901
Directories 1793-1898
Parish registers of Baptism, Marriage and Burial
Monumental Inscriptions in the parish church, in the graveyard of the church, and in the Unitarian Chapel
Maps, deeds, newspaper cuttings etc.

Hi,

Can I please say to everyone asking for a 1841 and 1861 look up that they are awful censuses to read and are not indexed except by town or village.

To look through Plymouth for example is eye blinding!!

Wide look ups are just not possible to do as there are with the 1851 (fully indexed)and 1881(which is online and free at www.familysearch.org)
