Hello! My father is said to have been born 11/11/1946. or 11/11/1944. Each family member gives a different year and his birth cert is missing. His mother is I V Gillingham, father R Mayes. Some say he was born in Welling. any info would be apreciated greatly.

Have you tried searching the birth/marriage/death indexes for your father's birth entry?

These are free to search at the Family Records Centre, Islington, London and at some other major record repositories or else they can be searched online (pay per view) http://www.1837online.com
