Dawley in WW1
« on: Tuesday 19 July 05 11:39 BST (UK) »

My husband has bought a wonderful book called 'Owd Jockeys at War' Vol 1 1915-1916 by Toby Neal. It contains actual copies of the 'Weekly report' and 'Dawley News' which was prepared by a church and sent out to soldiers etc serving in the war. It is a magnificent social history and also contains some correspondence from some 'sons of Dawley' serving their country.
