Trying to find a family in Long Eaton in the name of Weston
Head of house 
wife Mary Ann born abt.1836 in Middlesex London
Children Mary Ann 1859,Ellen 1861,Elizabeth 1863,Emily 1865,John 1867,Rosetta 1869,Alice 1873,and Meredith 1875 all in Long Eaton.

But this lists the head of household in 1881 as Mary Ann Weston and I expect you've already got this info? I assume you are trying to find the male parent of this household? If this is the case, have you tried obtaining a copy of the birth certificate through www.1837online.com for one or all of the children?

A birth cert. would not tell me were the father was born or when so I thought I would try and get the census information first.

Hi, I think I have found your Westons. I was reading your query and they wouldn't be in Long Eaton. They would be in Derby as this is where the 2 first girls were born so I took a deep breath and ploughed through the hundreds of entries for derby but I think this is them so it was worth it
