Hi, i have a family tree sketched out from a Family in Australia. They are searching some of the same family as me, unfortunately not all the info on the tree seems to be correct.
What im hoping for is, to find details of George Gillard c1814 and his siblings.
The family on the tree is as follows :
John Gillard c1813
George Gillard c1814 He married Mary Ann millman
William Gillard c1815
Mary Gillard c1815 same date as above, so theres a date wrong there. Or they were twins.
Dinah Gillard c1817 - 1819, dont know wether this is birth or birth to death
William Gillard c1819
Henery ? Gillard c1825 - 1860
Elizabeth gillard c1829
Samuel Gillard c1830
Ann Gillard c1832
Dinah Upright Gillard c1835.
They have the Parents down as :
William Gillard c1792 - c1855 + he married an Elizabeth Upright, no date, just says Sampford Courtenay under her name.
Any help on this Family will be gratefully received, i know the information i have given is very vague and probably not much help. The area in devon might have been South Tawton or North Tawton.

Hi Do not now if this is of interest but I have a GRACE GILLARD earlier than your JOHN, Grace was born At St. Sidwell Exeter, and had married into the Farrant line(that mine)she was born 20 Jul 1766 and died Feb 1837, if this fits in let me know for more infomation

Help I am a novice at this but wish to reply to Caz, I thought I could put an addition to mine above, I now know the mother She was Mary Farrant married John Gillard 25 Oct 1756, still no date of birth for either parent, interesting because Farrant married Gillard whose daughter married back to Farrant
If i am doing this wrong please tell me

Unfortunately i dont have a Grace Gillard, she's not in my tree at the moment and i've had a look on the tree from Australia, she's not mentioned on that either, and they've gone further back than me and another contact.
All our Gillards came from Devon, mainly South or North Tawton, Okehampton and Sampford Courtenay.
I'll certainly let you know if ever i come across her in the tree.

Hi Jericho.
Thanks for giving me this info.....
The George Gillard family are definately our's.
The William Gillard we are not too sure about, now this family are on the" Sketched tree from Australia", but we think from this part of the family the information on the tree is wrong.
I think its a case of spending quite a bit of money on certain certificates to see how much of this family tree from Australia is correct.

The William Gillard is where we think the Australian Tree has gone wrong but the George Gillard (Head) is definately ours.
