1851 Census
« on: Sunday 25 July 04 18:11 UTC (UK) »

I hate to keep asking for census look-ups but this time it's more to settle an argument. My Dad and I have a bit of a disagreement about how many people are possibly somebody's children.

The simple way to settle this is by viewing 1851 census in Nottingham. The address is Green Mile Farm where the residents Townrow live.

I would be very greatful if someone could help settle the argument.

Hi Paul, The only family of Townrow's living in Babworth in 1851 are not living at Green Mile Farm but could be the family living at Green Mile Farm in 1841.

In 1841 we have:
Henry 30
Hannah 25
William 8
Elizabeth 6
Henry 4
Thomas 2
Mary 4 months

In 1851 we have:
Henry 42
Hannah 39
Mary Ann 11
George 7
John 4
Harriet 1
Hannah's mother is also living with them.

If they are the same family that would make 8 children that we know off.
If you want any more details or the image for the 1851 let me know.

Hi Paul, I hope you recieved my e-mail.
The william you spoke of in your message is i presume the one aged 8 in the 1841 census if so i believe i have found him in 1851 working as a servant.
