William George of Invergordon

Hi,

My great great aunt  married William George in 1891.  William George was born at Haddington in about 1870 and later became Town Clerk and Registrar of Invergordon from around 1920 to 1940.  Does anyone have any information or recollections of Mr. George and his family? He and his wife had eight children and in later years lived at a house called Letterewe, Invergordon.

Any information would be gratefully received

Many thanks indeed for your reply about William George.  I had already found him in The Peerage website but had not seen the picture of the gravestone giving useful dates or the information about his sons.
