Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out more about my paternal ggggrandmother Mary Mann (nee Cronier) who according to censuses was born around 1821 in America. Are there any websites I could use?

To search for American records (if they exist) you would really need to know what state Mary was born or lived in. Have you looked at all her census entries to see if there are any clues?

Sorry about delay in replying but our computer crashed and we have only got going again. Mary according to the census was born in Baltimore and she had a sister b in New Jersey.
