All Saints church lookup please
« on: Monday 25 July 05 14:03 BST (UK) »

Hi Everyone

I would be really grateful if someone is able to find the baptism of William Rosson, son of Bertha, at All Saints CofE church in Chorlton-upon-Medlock. He was born on 1 June 1854 so I assume he was baptised by the end of 1854.
I am not sure that he was baptised at All Saints church, but he was born in Berwick Street which is very near to All Saints.

Thank you

Hello Adam
As Far as i know the only way you can find a baptism for the year you want.Is to go to the area's Reference library and see if the church records have been transcribed by volunteers.Or the archive center in the area. I had to go to the Chester an Cheshire archive's for mine a few years ago. You might find someone on Rootschat that lives in that area that could advise you.P.S it wont tell you anything more than you allready know, except the fathers name and occupation

Hi Celia

Thank you for your reply to my message.
I will post another message asking if someone living in the Chorlton-upon-Medlock area can visit the local reference library or archive centre to see if the baptisms for All Saints Church have been transcribed as you suggest.

Yes I want to find out if the fathers name is listed on his baptism record as the father is not listed on William's birth cert.
Thank you
