Searching for Thomas Teffe [Tefft] & Sarah _??_, supposedly born in Appleby, Eng. circa 1561. On the chats I do not see the city listed. Was there or is there such a place? Do I have the name wrong?

Are you sure it is Westmorland?  There is one in Lincolnshire too.
