 Smiley I'd be most grateful for some help here.

It could be different wife as Emma was only 19 when eldest daughter was born.  I can't find a marriage for John and Emma Stanley but they were married on the 1861 census.
There was a gap of 6 years (1852/58) between the children so maybe that was his second marriage.

Try www.familyhistoryonline.net Or www.hdfhs.org.uk (as Lockwood is going to be a common name)
