I've traced a branch of my family back to Bartholomew Colfax (with a variety of spellings) who married Margerie Davies at Montford in1664. All I have are their names - can anyone help with any further information on them or their descendants, eg occupations or even what side they were on during the Civil War!
I'm also interested in the family of Elizabeth Joaks, born 1767 in Chirbury

hello

the Montford register gives no other details than the date 15/5/1664.

Edw Colfax was named in the sureties at the baptism of Alice Gough 19/3/1737

sorry but they are the only Colfax/Colefoxe mentioned.
