Looking for descendants of ALICE LOUISA SLOPER DAMPIER CHILD
Alice was born at Sanddown, Isle of Wight 1878. Daughter of Richard Child and Mary Louise Dampier. She became a nurse and married in1903 in London,  either Bertram Lovell or Jack Beauchamp Perrie. Who can help Huh

Getting one of the certificates would prove it one way or the other.  Or write to the local register office and ask them - though they are not so keen to search for weddings as they will not know the church.    Search the local church records?  Have you got any death dates?  Wills for the two men might make it clear which one she married.   Street directories?  Electoral roll?   Otherwise you might have to wait for the 1911 census!

Hi Andrea,
               Thanks for all the tips.  What I'm really interested in at the moment is LIVING relatives of Alice. There is a whole story about Alice's father the details of which might have been passed down to Alice's children. And it is his story I'd like to know about. I'm hoping  Grin that someone out their might be related and see the message. A slim chance , I know, but stranger things have happened.

Local paper?   They like this sort of thing.   Actually I think the Daily Mail used to have a "get in touch" type feature every so often
