Hi there
I have a link to the Stelfox family via a Martha Perkin, Northwich/Antrobus area, she married a Peter Stelfox in 1839 at Warrington, St. Paul. I also have a Joseph Stelfox, born about 1870, in Lancashire Bolton, who I am assuming is descended from the above as he's listed as a nephew on one of the censuses when living with my Perkin relatives. Hope this makes some degree of sense.

I have the name Stelfox in my family line.
Edward Stelfox married Sarah Barlow c1790. Children:
William
John
There may be other children, but they were mentioned in the will of John Barlow, Sarah's brother.

I have a g-g-g-grandmother, Grace STELFOX, (abt 1789/90 to 1864). She married Thomas DEAKIN at St Mary's, Gt Budworth 22 Dec 1812.

Hi Alex,
I'm not sure that this is the same family as I don't have much more information. The reason I have the connection is from the will of Sarah's brother John Barlow who lived at Antrobus. I suspect that Edward had died before the date of the will in 1839. William Stelfox is one of the executors and he is referred to as a farmer living at Crowley. There seem to be quite a few Stelfox's in the area.

I have just found this location, I may have corresponded with some of you already. My grandmother was Ada Ellen Stelfox b1889 Liverpool, to Thomas Stelfox b Oct 1854 Northwich and Catherine Mac Namarra b 1855 . Ada's siblings are Teresa b 1876, Thomas b 1879(married Elizabeth Ellen Harwood 1898),Elizabeth b 1883/4,William b 1887, Annie b 1895, Catherine b 1898.
Thomas Stelfox's known siblings born in Cheshire were, Ellen b June 8th 1851, William b Dec 1856, George b April 8th 1859(married Mary Ellen Laing), Joseph b Feb 18th 1862, there was also a John Friedrick who died as an infant and was interred at Birkenhead and Mary Ellen b Oct died march 25th 1876 interred Anfield 28th March 1876.
Parents George Stelfox and Elizabeth Parks.
If any of these are included in your family tree I would love to swap information.

I have linked my Stelfoxes to the Edward Stelfox and Sarah Barlow mentioned above. Edward was born about 1768 but I don't know where. However, it's not a common name and the same area so probably a link to your lot somewhere, but I haven't found it I'm afraid!

I have a Sarah Stelfox Catherine Knowles, b. abt 1835 in Walton, married William Turner.
Sarah's father was Peter Knowles and her mother was Eliza, b. abt 1799 in Crowley. I am fairly certain that she was Eliza Stelfox.
