« on: Friday 30 July 04 09:14 UTC (UK) »

Only just started with my Mcgurk in Belfast, so I dont have much but thought I would post incase someone may.

Frank (I presume Francis) MCGURK (spelling has been Magark before). Born Belfast abt.1828. A Smith.

Unsure when left Belfast, but was living in Newcastle Upon Tyne England from at least 1849 onwards.

Married a lady called Alice (surname I dont know) born Dundalk abt.1824.

Thats it i'm afraid!! Thanks ele...

Hi ele

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Hi Ticker,

No, no luck on the McGurks.... They are a mystery, even up to my Granddad born 1922, searching for his mother's family and his step sisters with no luck to, though name is Bell, so like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Will have to go to the library as marriage details on my McGurks and some births seem to be non-existent... it is interesting to say the least, I make up stories on events that happened, makes us laugh...

Just thought I could jump the middle McGurks and have luck further down the track!!

Thanks for checking, Ele...
