The 1851 census gives John's age as 61 born March.

March parish register has a John Hare baptised 9 Feb 1789, son of John and Ann. No other John's baptised in the right period.

No marriages of John Hare/Ann Watson in March, but more likely to have been in Littleport which is where Ann was born according to 1851

Hi David, thanks for the baptism of John Hare 1789, I realize now I am searching for two John Hare's with wife Ann.   The above John (jnr) would have married later than I thought, as his wife Ann Watson was born c 1800, so their marriage would have been around ..? 1816-1820, John Hare snr.'s  marriage  would have been before 1800.
I have found a death for John Hare (snr.) which shows his birth c 1752 and Ann's birth c 1767.   Any idea where I might find both marriages or baptisms 1752-1767?
Any help would be greatly appreciated....Rob

Hi Rob

For Cambs, Boyd's marriage index (BMI) can be very useful, particularly as the IGI is a bit sparse.

Details of coverage can be found at http://www.originsnetwork.com/help/aboutbo-bmi-parishcamb.htm

When I lived in London the local LDS Family History centre had a full set of fiches, but you'd need to check to see if yours had a set or if you'd need to order them. Alternatively the site I mentioned above, origins, is pay per view.
