Search for Stotts in Whitehaven.Cumberland.

Hi Every One,
                     I am trying to find a Francis Stott my Gt Gt Gt grandfather.In the
1851 Census of Whitehaven.He lived in the Preston Quarter at 31 The Back
Row.He is listed as Head and is wife as Margaret but no surnameThey had
Three children at home.Robert 15 Years,Joseph 13 Years my Gt.Gt grandfather and Mary Eleven Years.They had a older son William who was
baptised at the Holy Trinity Church Whitehaven on the 21 St of September
1828.Iwould like help in finding where Francis and Margaret were married
and the birth date of William so I can obtain a birth certificate.Any
information would be gratefully recieved.Thank You.

Hi Raymond,

In the 1851 census of whitehaven, Francis Stott's birthplace is given
as Newcastle Northumberland and Margaret's is Ireland.

There is also a William Stott living in Back Row
Entry number 11
William Stott / Lodger / Unmarried / 23 / Coal Miner / Northumberland

There is also a Francis Stott on the IGI

Parents:
     Father:     WILLIAM STOTT

I haven't been able to find them in the 1841 census yet , but will keep looking

Whitehaven is in Cumbria (Cumberland)

Hi Raymond,
I have checked through the C of E Churches in Whitehaven from 1837 and cannot find marriage for Francis & Margaret.  There are a couple of other marriages. I will send PM probably tomorrow when I have more time.
