PR Eyton-upon-the-Wild-Moors
« on: Thursday 28 July 05 19:00 BST (UK) »

Hi

Does anyone have "easy" access to the following entry?

JAMES TURNER    Male   Spouse:  JANE BLADEN
Marriage:  16 JAN 1826   Eyton Upon The Weald Moors, Shropshire.
M037441

I am having great difficulty tracking down a birth record for James and am hoping that the marriage record may list at least his fathers name or give some other clue.

Thanks so much,

Fiona.

The Shropshire Archives holds the parish registers for Eyton on the Weald Moors.

I would have offered to go and look for you but with 3 children at home I just couldn't do it.  They are far too noisey for a research centre!!

I suggest that you post a look up request and hopefully someone will be able to help you.

An alternative would be to email the  Shropshire Archives and ask them how much they would charge to look it up for you.  I have no idea of their fees, but the staff there are very helpful.

Good Luck!

Aaaaarrrgh!! I just had the film of the Eyton PR's at my local LDS. Sorry but it went back last week.

There is quite a lot of extra info on many of the entries to what is recorded on the IGI. It just depended on what the particular Church Warden felt like doing.
