On Feb. 10, 1885 Bermuda reported the death of my Great-Grandmother: Patience Louisa WILSON who died in Bermuda asking that the Portsmouth Times & Chatham News - please copy.

Are these records on line for all to view of death notices?
I would very much like to know if she left surviving children in the Portsmouth area or the Chatham area.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

The original newspapers are probably at Medway Archives - they do have a partial index to some newspapers online but this seems to be mostly for more recent events:

There is also an online index to the Chatham news but this doesn't go as far back as 1885 - see the online resources links at the top of the main Kent board.
