Looking for information on John Armitage born late 1700's in Bradley, Yorkshire, England. He married Elizabeth (Betty) and they had several children while living in Colne Bridge and Hilltop, Slaithwaite--John, William, Nancy, Amos (born ca 1816), Daniel, Harriet, Elizabeth. In 1841 they are in Hyde, England on a very faded census page. Their son John Armitage married Mary Ann Bradley (daughter of Joseph and Martha Bradley of Bollington, Cheshire). Some of the family moved to Massachusetts in 1895.
