The Waterford Heritage Genealogy Centre site contains some general information which may help people decide whether or not to commission research ... this includes a list of the Parishes in the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore with the commencement dates of the Parish Registers. The earliest Church of Ireland Records in the county date from 1655.   

Genealogical Records at the Centre include Street and Trade Directories from 1788 as well as biographical entries in local newspapers dating from the 1770s to the 1820s.
