hi iam looking for any children of joseph marshall born 1898 durham died 1978 fife scotland.wifes name was nora nee claydon.joseph was my grandmothers brother.searching for any living relatives to share family history.also if someone could tell me how to go about finding out how many kids they had i would be eternally gratefull.i know they had at least one son a howard as he was the informant on joes death certificate

Well if the children were born in Scotland their birth certs can be found in Register House Edinburgh. You would also be able to find who they married and the names of their children etc.
If you cant get there yourself you might have to pay someone to research for you

I have the same problem as you.  You could try posting on a board specific to the area that Joseph Marshall died in or a local newspaper, citing family tree research.  I think it is best if you get information from modern day decendants voluntarily or else you would end up with a lot of blanks due to privacy limitations at Scotlandspeople.
