Hi

Have you looked for her birth in the indexes? As she was born post 1864, it should have been registered. These are available at the Dublin GRO or on film at your local family history centre. (Church of the latter day saints)

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHC/frameset_fhc.asp for your nearest.

Hi,

Who did you send an email to? I think the GRO (moved to Rosscommon for postal applications but remains in Dublin for personal visitors for clarification) only responds to paid applications.

Were they Anglican or catholic? The parish records for the catholic church are in the National Library
http://scripts.ireland.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=showidrecords&churchid=721&CityCounty=Kildare&CityCounty=Kildare&parish=Newbridge
but the Anglican records need to be checked for at the representative church body library. A registered birth certificate would be easier. These are on film at your local family history centre.

Many English families lived in Co Kildare as the British Army were stationed at the Curragh Camp which is 3 miles from Newbridge. The British left and the Irish Defence forces took over the camp about 1922.

The information re-Births Deaths and Marriage replacement certification is on;

www.groireland.ie

I have no idea if the information is up to date, as some Goverment depts were moved from Dublin and scattered around the Country. EG Dept of pensions is now in Sligo, &  Education in Co Westmeath (Athlone) etc.
