Hi,
could someone please check this family in 1851 please.
this is them in 1841
John Potter 40 ag lab
Mary Potter 35
Jane Potter 15 silk weaver
William " 14 silk threader
Sarah " 10
Thomas " 8
Frances " 6
John " 4
Eliza " 1
living Brook street, all saints, Derby, Derbyshire
Most of the siblings remained in All saints around brook st and Nuns street. I am hoping the parents John and Mary are still alive and living hopefully in the same house. (or there abouts)

Hi sunflower.
This is brilliant it helps confirm the family and helps me link them to info I have from the 1861 census.
If anyone can find them on the actual census that would be even better. Would like to know if Mary is Derby born.
Can I be cheeky and ask you dear Sunflower if you could check another 2 families on the index for me.
I have Thurston Jones b. 1800 married to Hannah b. 1800
Children on the 1841 were
Henry 15, Eliza 15, Emma 14, Mary 12 Chances are the kids are all moved on but one might still be at home
And then you could you check for this family
Henry Poyser b. abt 1819 with wife Phoebe b. abt 1821
children George age abt 12 in 1851. And Joseph age 9
I'm not sure if Phoebe is a second wife of Henry's so Any Henry Poyser with two sons (at least) that would fit.
I will understand if you are busy but really would appreciate your help

Just managed to look at the Poyser family on the 1851 census, before the library shut
Henry was a Smith, born Derby, and Pheobe was born Shropshire, they were living at No 20 Hope Street, Litchurch,
this is close by Derby Railway Station

One question though.... When sunflower mentioned the ref no for the Poyser lookup There was mention of Phoebe Porter age 60 Was she living with this family?? Or was she a seperate entry. Just curious as Henry's son went on to marry a Potter and wondered if there was any connection with this Phoebe Potter.
