I am looking for death of my grandmother Edith Caroline Mary Jackson nee: Jones supposedly died in an Asylum Brisbane QLD. Australia about 1928-30 my father's mother, he died when I was young and his sister now passed away didn't know what happened to their mother.
Husband to Edith(never legally married) Francis Henry Jackson had been previously married in NSW,I have all his details BDM etc; but nothing on my grandmother, on her daughters birth certificate from San Francisco U.S. states child illegitimate and mother's name as Edith Mary Jones born in England about 1872.
I would like to find her death and where buried. I looked at Deaths QLD index, with no luck as all Edith C.M.Jacksons (checked with and without middle names) were not mine. I applied through Freedom Of Information to search Asylum records but they could not find her. She did use on passenger shipping record Edith Jackson not always her middle names. My late father has her as Mary Jackson on his Service Records.Francis H.Jackson had left her and moved on to another wife, He is with new wife on Electoral record in 1930-36 I would be gratefull for any help. regards Rubyo

Jenn my father's name was Maurice Francis Jackson born 9th Jan.1905 Durban Sth Africa.
(no birth cert.as yet) He died 7th Oct. 1953 he was accidently killed while working at Glebe Wharves
Sydney NSW.

yes that is correct death cert, it states mother as mary jones, also there is a merchant navy record for my dad in 1944, he had father francis h and mary c jackson as parents.my mother told me that dad had to go to brisbane to visit his dieing mother in hospital this happened the same year as their marriage 1928. on his marriage cert states mother as mary caroline jones.
