Missing 'JEFFRIES'

I am searching for the where abouts of my Wifes Father. Arthur, Francis, Cyril, Jeffries born 8/4/1916
He left the Worthing, Sussex area early 1950s, not heard from since. His Mother Vera died in Worthing 1960.
He was married to Dorothy they had 4 children all now living in Australia.
We just want to know if he is alive or dead, where & when?
