adams of shercock house cavan

I am researching the Adams family of Cavan and am interested in finding anything about Major Stuart Adams  b. 1763 Shercock House and died 1809.  He married Catherine Leslie daughter of Henry Leslie esq. on 10th May 1789 in Dublin.
Stuarts father Richard Adams b. 1736 Cavan was the high sheriff of Cavan and of Monaghan in 1785
Has anyone got connections with this family.

I came across this useful link for you Frankle. Dean Adams of Northlands was in the area in 1837. In the 1900s there was a family by the name of Adams related to the Erskine family in Holywood, Co. Down I will be interested to see if the Shercock family are related to the Holywood family.

I have found a book Adams family of Cavan which lists all the family and their descendents going back to Scotland.

I can not find any Erskine family members in it as yet.

I have looked at the web site above and found them very interesting.

Was the book " A Genealogical History of Adams of Cavan " published in London in 1903 
Has there been a reissue of this book or is the book you found a different one about the same family ? The name of the book would assist others who may be researching families by the name of Adams in the same area

Yes it is the book published in 1903 A Genealogical History of the Adams of Cavan.  Sorry its has not been reproduced, i managed to buy a photo copy of it and will be willing to share the info with anyone who wants help.
