Searching for ancestors with surname of Smith

I am looking for ancestors who I believe went to Chile around 1898-1901 to Coronel originally to work in the mines and also Valparaiso. Their names were Mary E Smith and John William Smith who was born about 1858. They had children Harry b 1880, Gilbert 1882, Rupert, Sis, Rose 1886 and Sophia. Gilbert is believed to have married a English girl called Nesta on 5 Dec. 1905 while living in Chile.  John William, Mary E and Harry were all living at Heckmondwike Rd, Dewesbury, Yorkshire during the 1881 census.  I would love to know what happened to the family and any descendants. Any information please.

There is a Chile forum on the  Genealogy.com  website.
I just put "Smith Genealogy Chile" into my search engine, and up it came.

There appears to be quite a few people searching  for  their
ancestors , so it may be worth your while having a look.
