Hi there,
Could some kind soul possibly give me a hand ?
I don't seem to be able to find Robert Bannister and his wife Catherine on the 1901 census
Robert would be about 55 at the time of the 1901 census
Catherine was born in Alveley Shropshire in 1857.
Any help much appreciated

Robert is born in Leominster and Catherine in Alveley
Here they are in 1881 living with relatives -

Robert is with an Uncle in 1891 - this doesn't bode well for finding the parents - perhaps they died or did a runner

Could be. Trouble is - there is such a long gap inbetween the census they disappear all over the wretched country. Guess you will only know by sending for cert and seeing who registered the death. Must admit I was looking in Shropshire.
