Hi there For the past week I have been trying my best to produce and upload to my website a photo album. I have been determined not to ask for help, after all aren't I the best and dont need help- WRONG AGAIN: please can you help I have been using jalbum to produce the album itself and coffee cup to upload it. First problem was that jalbum produced a framed page with a html called index therefore overiding my original index page. I tried to change the album html to a different name but then ended up with broken links. I tried to put the album in it's own folder but it still linked back to the index page. Isuppose the answer is to have an album builder that allows me to name and place the album and associated pictures in thier own dedicated folder. Is that correct or am I on the wrong trail altogether. Many thanks Denn

Hi Denn
Sorry I can't help with this but I'm sure someone will jump in soon with some ideas.
Is there any merit in storing photos on one of the sites that are set up to do just that, and then providing a direct link from your website? Then, just so long as you have your links set up to open in a new page, your visitors can browse the album while still using your main site. May be on the wrong track here, though!
cheers
Paul

I read your comments with interest, yes I had and still am contenplating the option of another site or one of the many photo hosts. I was probably being pig headed in that I wanted to use the same background and similar design as my webpages but maybe I should not aim for such and be content for the time being with something tht delivers the pics with ease. In a few days I will be out of circulation for a week so I'll just sit and see what other ideas develop in the meantime. all being wellone of you guys will have the most innovative yet for my sake the simplest idea of all Thanks Denn

Hi Denn,
have you tried putting the whole jalbum output in one folder on your site and then linking to that folder ??
i.e if the folder (directory) is called pics then in \pics are all the images and the index.htm
on any other page, you then have a link to href=" ./pics/index.htm"
better still: rename the jalbum index.htm to pic_index.htm, but still upload it to /pics
and your link is then href=" ./pics/pic_index.htm"
Funnily enough, the topic of more than one index.htm came up today on another thread: Topic: Links look correct but not going anywhere http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,83986.0.html
Bob
ps: example from my web-site: on this page: http://boco.rootschat.net/b1/maha1889.php I have a link Photo Album to this page: http://boco.rootschat.net/b1/maha1889-photos.php
pps

Thanks Bob and Jude. What you both say seems to make some sense, I was under the impression that having more than one index couldn't be done, but I'm not so smart after all. I go into Hospital for a hip replacement on Wednesday so I have a couple of very busy days ahead and can't try it just now but I will give it another go when I get out, I'll let you know wether or not it all comes together.

Bob if you're as stubborn as me you have a problem - or should that be if I'm as stubborn as you
Many thanks Denn
