If you are interested in looking at examples of what people have done by way of building family history websites, Lost Cousins http://www.lost cousins.com/?ref=LC589568 are listing a selection at the moment. To see them you have to be registered, and then click "my links". This one in particular caught my eye - an excellent site - http://www.mandywillard.co.uk/JULIAN NB Lost Cousins are offering free subscriptions in the future when you refer a certain number of people to them. The URL above includes my reference number. If you decide to register with Lost Cousins and want to avoid me getting commission "points", then use http://www.lost cousins.com/NB2 Something funny's happening when I post the Lost Cousins URLS; a break keeps getting inserted between lost and cousins. If you use the hyperlink you need to delete the "%20" between "lost" and "cousins". Can't get it to change in this post despite four attempts to change it!
