Has anybody got any information on the Copping Family.

My 4th Gt Grandparents are Ezekiel Copping and Alice Edwards. They were married abt. 1774 in Swilland.

I don't know if this is the right family, but the following is from the parish registers:-
1726 Jan 6 Ezekiel s/o John & Elizabeth COPPING in Helmingham and
1749 Jan 8 Ezekiel s/o Ezekiel & Amy COPPING in Clopton

If you think these could be connected, and would like me to search in these registers a bit more, let me know!

Thanks Najma and Sue for your information.

I think Ezekiel and Amy seem to be the most likely parents as the marriage date confirmed by Sue fits my Ezekiel's birth better. (About 1748)

The other Ezekiel must also be a relation some how.
