Has anybody heard of a place called Khydybroun? or possibly spelt Rhydybrown? It could be an estate or name of a property in the parish of Bletherston. My ancestor, Charles Griffiths was a gameskeeper and according to the IGI, his children were born in Khydybroun.
Can anyone enlighten me as to where or if this place exists?
Cheers

Don't think it would begin with a K as there is none in the welsh language....Clarbeston is near by........... I do know someone that used to live in Wiston so will try and find out some info on any Old Estates in that area........

Hello Dux, I think Tystan is right and the name should be Rhyd-y-brown. I looked at the LDS film and it definately looks like an R, rather than a K. So it looks like the LDS transcriber got the spelling wrong. If anything turns up on the estate side, please let me know.
