Hi Maureen:  My grandmother was Mary Ann Hart and her sister Jane Hart married Albert Piper.  Somehow, I don't know how, the name Ringrose was mentioned several times by my Dad.  He has now passed away in 2001 and my grandmother in 1967.  I live in British Columbia as did they.  No one from the families came to Canada but my grandmother used to write to Ringroses in, I believe, Philidelphia.  Jane and Albert had a daughter Yvonne and a son Albert.  I have pictures of J&A's 50th wedding anniversary.  Hope we can find a connection here.

Hello Alva
What a coincidence but at the moment I have no Albert. My Piper line starts way back in 1828 when Mary Ann Elven married George Piper in Sudbury. They were silk weavers.Their children were George,Alfred,MaryAnne(my gggrandmother) Hannah, Eliza,Charles, James,John, Maria and Harriett.Mary Ann Piper married a Thomas Cooper Prior in 1854 and my ggrandfather Samuel was born i n 1858. He was in London by 1881 and he married Alice Carter in 1882 . They had a daughter Hepzibah who married Richard Ringrose in 1909.The Ringroses were in Naseby and Northampton in the 1800 and their trade seems to be farmers ,carriers, and butchers. Can you see any link?

Hi Maureen:  As yet I have not tracked everyone back as far as you.  I have my great grandparents and that's all as yet.  I was hoping to find some living relatives who could set me in the right direction.  Like I said there is no one here in Canada, it's just a few memories of stories that were told.  The dates on the census don't seem to coincide with some of the information.  My grandmother's birthdate and marriage date are way off.  I have the original certificates.  Now, your family were farmers and butchers, apparently the gr. grandfather was a dealer in horse flesh, maybe the families knew each other in business.  Says this  occupation in the 1901 census and I do remember hearing of this several times.  I believe the family was very well off.  I think the had a store as well.  His name was Henry Hart. So far I haven't seen a connection but keep me posted as you dig and I will you.
