Death - John TYMON - Hull 19th C

I am desparate to find details of the death of John TYMON (my gggg grandfather) who I know was alive and kicking in Hull in 1851.  I can find no trace of him after that point, though I know his son James moved to Scarborough some time in the 1840s.

Would he have been likely to have appeared in a Directory?  Would he have been an elector?  I could look him up in the Local Studies Library at the weekend if this is the case.

Thanks for your post.

I have virtually no record of John Tymon.  I know his first son John was born in Ireland in 1820 ish and his second son James in Hull in 1827.  I have only ever found one record of him and that was in the 1851 Hull Census in Mill Streer where he is recorded as John TYEMAN aged 60 and a Tailor from Ireland.

I can't find him in Directories (though I probably haven't looked in the right ones) or anywhere else for that matter.  He does not appear in the 1861 census for Mill Street (or anywhere else that I can find).

Any help you can offer would be very much appreciated. Cheesy
