St.Mary's Stockport - THORNLEY

I am looking for information about the Thornley family in Stockport, specifically the ancestors  of Solomon Thornley who was born about 1769. I believe he  married Margaret Hallam in 1792 and they had three daughters, one of whom is my Gt.Gt.Gt Grandmother.
I have managed to find some information on the IGI on-line parish records for St. Mary's Stockport but the period prior to abt. 1760 is not available. Other Thornley's who I think are relatives  are Thomas, Richard, Joshua and William.  This is my first stab at this so might be wide of the mark in terms of what is possible, but any help/advice about how to do further enquires, much appreciated.  Thanks.  Peter.

    You are right in thinking that the amount of online info is restricted and the only way ti get further with the family is to search the Parish records.

    You would have to make enquiries at the records office by email to the address in this link. They will advise you of what is available and where, the same would apply to your other request for Warrington info.
