THIS IS FROM THE GRO CERT. ORDER SECTION
PLEASE READ BEFORE you order certificate.
As a fail-safe in case you are uncertain that you have identified the
correct entry, we have the reference checking facility and the site does
give the following message before you start inputting:
  Important Customer Information:- The ONLY information that we check
  against the entry from this page is the TOP TWO LINES i.e. surname
  and forename(s). If you have other details you wish us to use to
  ensure the reference does belong to the entry you are seeking, these
  must be included on the 'Reference Checking' page. The button to take
  you through to 'Reference Checking' can be found at the bottom of
  this screen.   and then lower down the page when you have finished keying
 in the reference details we show the following:
                       Reference Checking Options
  If you would like more than one GRO Index reference checked for this
  certificate application or have checking points you wish to be
  checked against the entry please click on the button marked
  "Reference Checking"
  Clicking on this button takes you to the following which is
  self-explanatory
   Reference checking
   Please enter any further information that would help identify the
   correct entry.
   This is of course designed to prevent the issue of a certificate
   with attendant costs which may not be the one required.  If, when
   we check the entry, we find the details do not agree with the
   information you have provided then no certificate is issued and a
   partial refund made and an explanation sent to the customer for the
   non-production of the certificate.
I hope that the explanation and the information I have given will enable
you to place future orders successfully.
