Anyone know anything about a Thomas Ablort Morgan (Bt 1735-1810?) supposed to have married a Mary Roberts something in the late 1790s and had son William Ablort Morgan.  Thomas was supposed to be a sea captain who drowned while on a voyage to Canada.  Any help is appreciated.

I googled ' ablort morgan' and found a couple of things which may be of interest -  they might be your posts but just in case...:

William Ablort MORGAN b ca 1800 Fishguard, Wales m in 1824 Jane HILL (sister
of our James HILL) b 1804.
The name was carried down two further generations so guess there is a
connection somewhere here.
The son b 1830 married Louisa Selina BERRY b 1838.
Their son was born 1861 and I have no wife for him as yet.

also:

the earliest Morgan I have is Thomas ABlort Morgan b c 1775
Fishguard Wales whose son William Ablort came to South Africa in 1822. In SA
these Morgans
were Methodist. But Methodism only got to Fishguard in early 1800's. So
there are
no links to the eastern Pennsylvanian Morgans on the CD.
The Wedderburns of mine are from originally Lancashire in early 1700's  and
prior to this from Dundee - probably. You can see quite a lot of them at
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/euroleader/wedderburn/pafg95.htm
Most of the early Wedderburns are on this.
Speak to you soon.
Price is 3 U$ Dollars incl post(surface).
