Waterford Parish Registers - Morgan

I am attempting to search for the birth or baptismal records for John Patrick Morgan, son of Felix Morgan and Mary Ellen Hayes, believed born in or near Waterford between 1860 and 1880.

Felix Morgan was born in or near Waterford in 1828 and is believed to have emigrated to Melbourne, Australia on the vessel Truro, arriving in January 1854.  Shipping records in Australia confirm that a Felix Morgan,aged 25, arrived as an Assisted British Migrant to Australia in January 1854, together with a John Morgan, aged 29, a Mary Morgan, aged 28, and another Mary Morgan, aged 24.  This may have been two married couples or an extended family.

For John Patrick, the son of Felix, to have been born in Ireland, his parents must have journeyed back there.  So far, I have been unable to find their names in the records of passengers out of Melbourne to the UK or Ireland.

Any assistance in relation to discovering records of John Patrick Morgan's birth or baptism in Ireland would be gratefully appreciated.  I can be contacted through this bulletin board or direcxtly on Moderator comment: email address removed to prevent spam and other abuses - please use the Personal Message system to pass such information, thanks

IGI shows a birth for Patrick Morgan born 20 Dec.1864 Carrick On Suir, Tipperary, Ireland, son of Felix Morgan and Mary Hayes. Could this be your John Patrick Morgan?
How do you know that John Patrick Morgan was born in Ireland if his parents went to Australia c1854? If John Patrick died in Australia have you gotten his death certificate to show where he was born, etc.? What about death certificates for the parents? Should give their birthplaces, place and date of marriage (?), etc.

Luckily John Patrick was born just after the start of birth registration! Had a pm and saw your finds on the other posting.
