Can anyone help me ?
Here is the info I have on this part of my family,
Charles Wilson, b:1818 - Cripplegate, London Pedlar / Hawker Isabella ? b. abt 1819 - Scotland Pedlar / Hawker
I have Charles & Isabella on all the Census's 1861-1901, can anyone find them on the 1841 & 1851 Census's.
Their son and as far as I can tell only child. However I have not been able to find the Registration of Cornelius's Birth in the Cumberland Index ! Could some Kind Person Check incase have missed Something
He was living with Charles & Isabella at the time of the 1861 Census confirming them as his parents. If someone can find his birth records I would be most grateful. Likewise I don't have any marriage information for either Charles & Isabella or Cornelius & Jane Anne, Can you help ?
Cornelius Wilson .b 1845 - Penrith, Cumberland - Hawker married Jane Anne Close b. Hexham, Northumberland - Pedlar / Hawker
Jane Anne's family were also Hawkers / Pedlars, her father also listed his occupation as Tinsmith this was in association with Hawker.
Any help is grately appreciated.
Please please help if you can.
Regards & Best Wishes, Andy Stuart

Sadly, you may have to bear in mind that there was no requirement to list those people not living in houses on any census prior to 1861 and many hawkers and other itinerant workers were still living in tents and lodging in barns etc. at this time. Although some enumerators did actually list some of them, they weren't required to do so.
Best wishes

I checked the baprism records for Penrith for Cornelius Wilson at St Andrew church for 1845, checked a few years either way, not listed. the only other church at that time was Christ Church at Penrith, but there records don't start till 1850. Sorry.
