Simon L.M. de Montfort started researching his family roots thirty years ago. His ancestors were the Montfort's of Middleton, Co. Longford. Simon then researched the families who were related to his and finally all the landed families of Co. Longford. Latterly, the scope has been widened even further, to include any family that lives or has lived in the County. Longford Ancestry ... the Genealogy of Co. Longford is the result of his research.
