Hi you two,
now this might be of no use whatsoever but searching around, I've come up with this:
I looked Thomas (Harrison) King up on Family Search- Thomas King, christened 20.1.1834 - East Harlsey - parents William and Rachel King
Parent search gives a son William Hunter King christened 1832 also.
A sweep of 'East Harlsey folk in 1851 has a William H King, aged 19 yrs as 'son in law' (probably stepson) to John and Rachel Hudson in Grindon, Durham (William is a tailor) but no other Kings.
Free BMD has a marriage of John Hudson and Rachel King in 1850 in Stockton.
Does any of this ring a bell?

Thanks for those details
They are worth chasing up as we had no details of Thomas's birth and only that his father was William when he married.
