I am researching my family tree the Bagley family from Broseley shropshire an it appears that one of my family members had a lot to do with the "ROSE OF SHARON" oddfellows society
has any one any idea where i can obtain records of this or can anyone help me
"About 1793 there were six clubs or benefit societies in the parish each with c. 100 members. (Footnote 77) There were eight friendly societies in the parish in 1794, all still active in 1857; there was one other society in 1857, others having formed and disbanded meanwhile: (Footnote 78) in 1804 there had been a dozen societies with 1,003 members. (Footnote 79) The Oddfellows had a Rose of Sharon lodge in Broseley from 1823 until 1977. (Footnote 80)"
