Birth of Robert Meggison, About 1730, ?where

I need help to find Robert's birthplace and exact date of birth.  Robert was married in June 1773 in Sedgefield to Jane Davison.  He died Aug 7, 1792 and is buried in Sedgefield at St. Edmund the Bishop.  I have no idea where he was born.  I suspect it could be Durham, Northumberland, or Yorkshire.  Can anyone help me?

Hi Peggy,
I have found a birth Robert Meggson 10 March 1750 Brancepeth Durham parents William Meggson and Jane Harrison that would make him 23 when he married..hope this is of some help. Grin

Thank you for being so wonderful.  However, it can't be my Robert as his MI says he died in 1792 at the age of 62.  I suspect that Robert had a prior marriage to the 1773 marriage to Jane Davison to someone called Hannah, but I can't prove it as yet.  I also suspect that the Brancepeth Meggisons and Sedgefield Meggisons are closely related but haven't proven that either.

Thanks again.  I will try to follow-up on that.  I hadn't heard of Hutton Bushel before but then again, I hadn't heard of Hardwick Mill which is where he lived after marriage.
As for Sarah, she was born in 1783 and died in 1834.
