Yeeehaaaaaaaa I have my tree online!
Quite basic, not even the notes tidied up properly yet, just edited out the "living" and threw the gedcom file up to see how it looked, what do you think anybody?
Oh and if anyone has Netscape can they please check it's ok in that too please? I think it's more fussy than IE and Firefox but I need to download it to make sure.
Thanks for the space Trystan and Sarah, love it!!!!
Ooops I guess you want to know where you are going to see it huh

Well done. Looking good in IE - sorry can't help with Netscape . Photos bring it alive.
You can add your site to your RootsChat profile.
You can also ask Jonathan to add your site to the list of rootschat sites - http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,23896.0.html.
I do like families with people called Aloysious!

Thank you Julian, I've been too excited to think about adding it anywhere yet, but I did want to try out the photographs, one for each side of the family, hopefully more soon. Strange about the Aloysious, I'll have to find his baptism one day, he certainly didn't have it on his birth reg but claimed it on his funeral papers when he died.
Annie, I only got my email an hour or so ago about the space being set up, perhaps he's working his way through all the applications I'll had to make another phone call on Monday unless I hear from you that you've got them, just how long does it take to post from England!!! Bet they put a 2nd class stamp on

Hi Mary,
Well done - great feeling isn't it!!
Now I hope you have lots of free time - you do say you have "many photographs" to add - now we want them with all the scratches taken out - some colorized - other resized - others................
Ahh the pleasures of having a website
Keep calm Annie - you read the above - lots to do before/during and after you get your site up and running!
Cheers
Keith

Hi Keith,
I think maybe I should keep those photo restorers in business, they did do a nice job of my great grandad's tintype. When I fix the gedcom file a bit more I'll add the pics to it so that they link - have only done the one for Kathleen Parle so far, and I'll make Jonathan happy and post one of John Aloysious Parle - otherwise known as Jack Sullivan - don't ask, I'm not 100% sure of the story myself, something to do with a spot of bother in Ireland I believe!

Hey Smeghead, dead simps to use, do what I did and test out the free option first then you'll see.
But what it didn't give me was the trees on the top and it says that the front page etc. weren't customisable, I must admit since they were html pages I didn't understand how they weren't but, it was the trees that I wanted so I did pay that bit. Since it's worked well though £15 is more like a donation than a purchase isn't it?

Yes I had to download whatevr it was from the Microsoft site, I believe it's something to do with programme developing. dotnetfx.ext is what it was called. I suppose its not too bad, once its done you won't have to do it again. Don't use the "Download the .net framework ......" link on the Logicmill site as it got me confuddles, there were a few downloads to choose from, use the link "Do I need the .net Framework" and there is a link on that little page which takes you striaght to the correct download.
